After rocking the Knoxville area in several other bands, brothers Brandon and Joshua Manis began plotting something new. Teaming up with long-time friends Robby Kerr and Caleb Boaz the group began developing their new sound.

After completing their first several songs, they decided to name this new project Gamenight and performed live for the first time in October of 2005 under their new moniker. The band recorded their debut album, “Simple Starts in the Mind”, during the first half of 2006 and it hit the streets in August on Knoxville’s own The New Beat Records. Shortly after the albums release, Caleb left the band to focus on other musical endeavors and Matt Presley took over in his stead.

Gamenight went on their first full tour that summer, covering much of the eastern United States and continued to play shows throughout 2006 and 2007, culminating in a two month national tour in the summer of 2007.

Currently, Gamenight is putting the finishing touches on several new tracks that will be released on a split CD with friends, and Knoxville natives, Mouth Movements.
